EZeDocs is a document output system that intelligently merges data from your current applications with your own form designs to deliver laser quality invoices, purchase orders, reports, checks, forms and other business documents directly to a laser printer, fax output or email system.
What sort of forms can EZeDocs produce?
EZeDocs prints all types of common business forms: invoices, statements, quotes, purchase orders, checks, labels, etc. These forms can include many elements such as barcodes, signatures, logos, graphics, multi-part forms, etc.
EZeDocs is also well suited to producing form letters, capable of placing variable data within paragraphs and even using input data to define which paragraph to print. In this way, EZeDocs can print variations on the same theme, or completely different themes, in letters produced in batch runs, quickly and efficiently.
The process begins with EZDesigner, EZeDocs' document development tool. EZDesigner allows professional looking documents to be formatted and designed in a feature-rich GUI interface much like those which are found in many of today’s word processing packages. Use color, frames, images, barcodes and many other graphic elements to create an individual-looking document with complete font, size and position freedom.
Once the layout is complete, forms are loaded onto the host server running EZeDocs Spooler – this eliminates the need for a dedicated form server PC. Switching between the new and existing delivery and printing methods takes only a few keystrokes and can be done instantly.
An output channel is then selected - available EZeDocs output mediums include archive, fax, email, printer and file. Next, user-transparent data-capture and processing occurs using EZeDocs’ “intelligent” logic software. Data can be sent from any network -accessible site or global location , straight to EZeDocs Spooler. EZeDocs will then seamlessly merge the form and data to create, produce, and deliver a high quality document to the desired destination. In addition, the output channels can be selected on a per-document basis, dynamically and automatically, at run time – all making delivery of your documents even easier!
EZDesigner, the design component of EZeDocs, operates on Microsoft's Windows operating system. The EZeDocs Print Engine is available on most operating systems including Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX, Tru64 Unix, SCO Unix, Linux, Windows 98/2000/XP/NT.
How can EZeDocs save me Money?
Printing your forms on plain paper offers many economies. In particular, it eliminates the need for management, storage, and stock control of pre-printed stationery, provides efficiency through barcode and MICR automation, and opens up marketing opportunities such as the ability to produce customer-specific letters, surveys, warranties and other documents in business print runs. Typical savings over conventional stationery (including laser consumables) are more than 60%.

EZeDocs can automatically generate barcodes from a text string in the data. A customer code can be generated as a barcode on a remittance advice document or an item code can be produced as a barcode on a pallet label. Automated processing is a reality, each barcode can be easily scanned and recorded in your system.
EZeDocs eliminates the need for management of preprinted forms. Changes to forms such as addresses, phone numbers, personnel, and logos are easily and instantaneously updated without interruption to the system. EZeDocs also removes the hassles associated with manual preprinted form loading, separation and handling. Instead, a variety of forms can be selectively printed, faxed, or emailed as the demand arises.
EZeDocs' extensive features, as well as platform and application independence, make it an ideal alternative to a lengthy and complicated system reprogramming.
Can I fax and email with EZeDocs?
Yes. EZeDocs is able to capture the print stream, format the data, and then send the formatted document to any messaging application programming interface (MAPI) compliant email or fax system.
Do I have to fax/email my whole print run?
No. With EZeDocs you can selectively determine the delivery of each separate document. In fact for any given print run you may print, fax or email output, or use any combination of these. This means that you could deliver an email only to those customers able to receive them and print the rest to be posted later, all without altering your original report.
What kind of output does EZeDocs produce?
EZeDocs produces the output file formats PCL (PCL5e and PCL5c) and PostScript. GL2 commands can be suppressed for output to older model printers. EZeDocs can also convert your PCL or PostScript output to PDF for greater flexibility.
What kind of printers will EZeDocs work with?
Any printer capable of recognizing PostScript or PCL5 commands will work with EZeDocs. Most modern laser printers have this ability. Check with your printer supplier for information about PostScript and PCL compatibility.
Can I run EZeDocs over my network?
EZeDocs produces output with very low bandwidth requirements. You can centralize your printing needs regardless of the size of your network. Single EZeDocs installations can print locally, interstate or worldwide.
Can EZeDocs produce color documents?
YES! EZeDocs allows full-color printing and emailing. Using EZeDocs you can print full-color documents or email full-color PDFs.
Do I need to be a programmer to be able to use EZeDocs?
No. With EZeDocs, any form is easily created in our intuitive design environment, EZDesigner. Once EZeDocs is integrated with a system, it delivers effortless maintenance of a form's appearance. Non-programmers can quickly and easily update the 'look-and-feel' of the form, whether it be a change to a telephone number or company logo, or a complete re-shaping of form elements.
