Customize and Personalize Output with EZeDocs Print Engine

Using EZeDocs' advanced rules engine, document layout and format, as well as delivery options, can be customized and personalized for each recipient.

At its most basic level, it can manipulate application output adding graphics and reformatting text to produce a more functional and presentable document. However, the Print Engine is capable of much more.

Each output created by the Print Engine is an intelligent, data driven document whose layout can be determined at run-time by the fields in the input data.

• A negative account balance, can be used to trigger a demand for payment.
  
  
• Zero balance fields can be omitted from the final form.
  
  
• Several different types of documents can even be printed from same data file, with different data fields appearing on each document.
  
  
• Internal documents might include client confidential data, which could be suppressed from all external communications.
  
  

  - On a picking slip, for instance, you can suppress all financial details and highlight the delivery address. You only print the data that is relevant to the recipient of that particular form.

The Print Engine resides on a host that can be networked to a number of print queues. When the host application outputs data, the Print Engine matches this data file with the appropriate job type and converts the data into fully formatted professional documents. The formatted data is then sent to the appropriate print queues as standard PCL output which can then be printed on a variety of laser printers or sent via fax or email.

The EZeDocs' Print Engine is available on most operating systems, including Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX, Tru64 Unix, SCO Unix, Linux and Windows 98/2000/XP/NT.
