OK - so it's been a long time since I've updated my blog. I apologize for that; I've been super swamped but I guess busy is a good thing! I will try to update more often and give you all an idea of what we are doing here at ACOM. I hope everyone has had a great summer; football season is upon us! I will leave out football discussions in this entry, maybe another time, but you know I do live in the South.....so on to V6R1.
As you probably have heard by now, IBM has announced the release of V6R1 of the i5/OS for 2008. I was reading a transcript from an iSociety chat session online and it appears as if a good many folks are curious about the release and that is a good thing! It appears at first glance that folks are hoping to upgrade once available, which is also good news.
If you missed it on the Home page of our Customer Care Center, we are curious about what versions of the OS our customers are currently on, and I've posted a quick survey with 4 questions about your current version. If you'd like to fill this out, please follow this link, or just send me an email at
. Knowing this information is crucial for us, so that we can keep up with providing current software for the majority of the OS versions out there in our customer base.
Other than that, if you are going to be out and about at the IBM Technical Conference in Orlando, please stop by and say hello to me! Happy Autumn!
