ACOM Background
ACOM's iSeries Division has a rich history in the AS/400 market place. It was formed in 1999, as a result of the merger between ACOM Solutions, Inc. and Formula One Systems, Inc., two of the AS/400 market leaders.
ACOM has a long history as the premier single-source provider of fully integrated hardware and software MICR laser check processing solutions. Utilizing blank security-check stock rather than preprinted check forms, ACOM's solutions generate checks in a single pass through a MICR laser printer, and virtually eliminate the potential for check fraud, while lowering the overall costs of check disbursement operations.
On the other hand, Formula One was the leading provider of electronic AS/400 forms software to manufacturing, distribution, finance, medical, municipal and general business customers in the United States and Europe. Formula One had been extremely successful with its EZPrint/400 software product, which enabled users to design and merge electronic forms, checks and labels with variable data stored on their AS/400 computers.
