What is EZPayManager/400 (EZPM/400)?

EZPayManager/400 software suite is an iSeries host-resident payment solution that supports multiple payment types, within a single spool file: print checks and/or send electronic payments in one payment run.

What sort of payments can EZPM/400 produce?

Both electronic (via ACH) and laser check payments are supported. EZPM/400 is used for all types of common business payments: payroll, accounts payable, travel and expense, claims, etc.

Do I have to print checks or send electronic payments for my whole payment run?

Checks and electronic payments can be output simultaneously in the same payment run.

How does it work?

The process begins with EZDesigner/400. EZDesigner/400 allows professional looking checks to be formatted and designed in a feature-rich GUI interface, much like those which are found in many of today’s word processing packages. Use frames, logos, and many other graphic elements to create an individual-looking check with complete font, size and position freedom.

Once the template is created, the check templates are uploaded to the iSeries and stored in the ACOM library, eliminating the need for a dedicated form server PC. Switching between the new and existing delivery and printing methods takes only a few keystrokes and can be done instantly.

EZeDocs/400 can output documents a number of different ways – including print, e-payments, electronic archive, and electronic output (i.e. PDF, TIFF). Templates can be set up to merge with ERP data that run seamless and transparently to the end user. The merges can be set up to run on a per document basis, dynamically and automatically – making delivery of documents/payments even easier!

Where can I run EZPM/400?

EZPayManager/400 is an iSeries/AS400 native application. EZDesigner/400, the design component of EZPM/400, operates on Microsoft's Windows operating system.

How can EZPM/400 save me Money?

Printing your checks on plain check stock offers many economies. In particular, it eliminates the need for management, storage, and stock control of pre-printed check stock.

Using EZPM/400, your blank check stock never becomes obsolete. Changes of address, phone numbers, etc. are easily accomodated.

EZPM/400's faxing and email capabilities also generate substantial cost savings. Faxing or emailing your payment notifications reduces consumable, postage and administration costs.

How can EZPM/400 save me Time?

EZPM/400 simplifies the disbursement process by eliminating many of the manual steps associated with conventional payment methods (such as bursting, decollating, sorting, signing, etc).

Can I fax and email payment notifications with EZPM/400?

Yes. EZPM/400 is able to create a payment notification and deliver the messages through our optional iSeries native Email and Fax modules.

Do I have to fax/email payment notification for my whole payment run?

No. With EZPM/400 you can selectively determine the delivery of each separate document. In fact for any given print run you may print, fax or email output, or use any combination of these. This means that you could deliver an email only to those customers able to receive them, and print the rest to be posted later, all without altering your original report.

What kind of printers will EZPM/400 work with?

Any printer capable of recognizing PCL5, PCL5e, PCL5c commands will work with EZPM/400. Most modern laser printers have this ability. Check with your printer supplier for information on PCL compatibility.
