EZPayManager Selected Access Security
ACOM’s EZeDocs/400 and EZPayManager/400 with Selected Access Security were named a Product of the Year in Tech Target’s Search400.com Awards Program
Selected Access Security allows system administrators to literally "lock down" individual functions and subfunctions in EZPayManager/400, by limiting access via user ID, user-defined departments, group IDs or any combination of the three.
Examples of specific functions that can be protected by limiting access include editing, deleting, renaming check templates, merge, automerge, audit log, ACH (electronic payments), CheckFraud Alert, eArchive and others.
"The security feature is a great enhancement," one Search400.com Products of the Year judge commented.
"Companies need as much help as they can get to comply with all of the regulations being enforced these days."
Here’s How It Works
Selected Access security operates under a matrix-like structure, with access permitted on a basis of multiple pre-set factors including such things as levels of responsibility and assignments.
For example, an IT programmer may be able to access the system to make operational changes, but unable to trigger any of the software’s payment or document management functions.
Once the parameters are set, they operate transparently to the users and only need to be revisited if there is a need for modifications or deletions.
iSeries Native
Because EZPayManager/400 runs host-resident on your iSeries, you leverage the inherent security benefits of that platform. Your exposure to viruses and security risks associated with data file transfer are virtually eliminated.
